The employment opportunities are better and the pay is untaxed (at least mine is). Outside of work, this place blows and if I didnt have a job I would be bored to tears, which almost happens now even though I work long hours six days a week.

Qatar is a means to a career for me, thats it.

Happiness still eludes me while working here in Doha but still I am content. The pay and benefits are quite good compared to my home country and its safe and peaceful for expats to work here.

im here for the salary, and i agree, the weather sucks. looking forward to the cooler months. as for the lifestyle its too slow for me. and the music scene isnt much. but like everybody else, i like the decent salary and the zero tax.

cant say im happy here tho. but decent.

Yes I like it here, once you get past the frustration that some things don't work properly and somethings don't make sense it ain't a bad place to be

most of the time I love it here.. but then some of "those" days are coming, when it seems like all is falling apart.. then all you dream about is to be in your safe, sensible, systemized, driven by common sense and clear rules, country...

ARE YOU HAPPY? - The happiest I have ever been, Alhamdullilah!

DO YOU INTEND TO WORK MORE YEARS HERE? : Inshallah yes

WHAT ATTRACTS YOU IN THIS PLACE?: The primary reason being that its a Muslim country. Other than that well its safer than back home, the people here are lovely, freedom to practice my religion, great place to bring up kids, cost of living is good, the prices & choices of food is great! etc =)

Although women are not respected in society and have limited of freedom on dress code and business prospect here in Doha. Good paid salary plus tax free with added feature of English speaking country are reasons why we're here. The weather sucks though.
