Generally, Govt. Comps don't give the extended 10 day break in the second Eid of the Year...

18th - Govt. Holiday( Public Holiday )

Companies would be tempted to give 19th a holiday as well to make that a little extended one...

20 - 22: Eid Holidays (Thursday - Saturday)

25th: Few Companies (in the Govt. Sector and even fewer comps in the Private Sector - depending on the presence of Christians they acknowledge Christmas)

And yea about 31st - 1st: New Years...

And then guess what...It is the end of the Year 2007...

Happy Holidays people....

Milla is right. Eid, the actual religious holiday, starts on December 20. There is a national holiday on the 18th, so some companies may choose to give you the 19th off as well.

I would expect that most companies will give, as a minimum, Tuesday December 18 and Thursday December 20.

More generous companies may give Wednesday December 19.

In the case of VERY generous companies, or the government etc, you may also get some days off in the week commencing Sunday December 23, but I wouldn't count on it.

Just got back from leave myself and ran the same question by my colleague, this morning. It starts on the 22nd of December to 24th.

Would have been better if it were 23rd or 24th then we could have a holiday for Christmas.

Anyways, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

Have a great day.
