DVD Review 4

By Beast666

Here it is guys, latest DVD review.

Got 4 movies this time, I guess DVD lady has started to trust me and allowed me to take 4 instead of 3 (max allowed).

1) Dreamer – Nice movie, story is very predictable but acting of Dakota Fanning is out of this world, this kid can really act. Watch it

2) Panic Room – This movie was disappointing, it was like watching a cross between “Home Alone“ and “3 stooges. It’s the kind of movie which you wish will get over soon. Jodie Foster was disappointing in this movie her acting has really nose dived. Average movie.

3) She’s the man – It’s a kind of movie which is targeted at pre-teens, so if you are older than 14, avoid it.

4) The Manchurian Candidate – I am not very impressed with this movie, some might call it a classic but for me this was a weak movie, weak script, weak story line and weak acting .

I took the DVD because picture of danzel Washington was on the box, his acting was disappointing as well.

See you next week with another DVD Review

there is no problem as long as you are not caugt with them.

I have travelled maybe 10X with maybe up to 50 Dvds in a spindle and nothing ever happened. If you are stopped, you'd be unluckyI think but i think it can happen. I'd put a couple of innocent ones just in case on top

sammie: that's great then. aside from my pirated dvds, i got other dvds that i copied from my friends. so i guess, i shouldn't worry bout it.

you can download movies using a Bittorrent client like UTorrent or BitLord

run searches for the movies you want to download on any of the torrent search engines, to list a few:

www.torrentbox.com

www.torrentz.com

www.torrentspy.com

www.fulldls.com

needless to say P2P technology is legal, downloading pirated movies using P2P clients however ISN'T.

not unless they see it in the Xray or if it is in your luggage sent in the hold.

Wouldn't mind borrowing the movies / books?

On a serious note, they are not very particular, per my knowledge.

Safe journey.

those 2 are really kewl flicks. transporter is fun to watch too, acting sucks esp the villain in transporter one, but brainless action sequence were fun.

not to hijack the post but just need a quick info, do they confiscate bootleg dvds in the airport? will i be able to get away with sex and the city dvd as well? im worried they might confiscate books/dvds with titles that have sex or dodgy organs in it. i.e. vagina monologues

I will see if I can get a copy from a shop somewhere.

Can you remember where you got yours from?

I bought Pirates of the Carribean 2 recently and it was a really bad copy.

I would love to see this movie and I am sure that someone on here said they had downloaded it from the internet and watched it.

Can anyone recommend a good website for downloading and watching films?

Boomdock Saints William dafoe is excellent in it! Grandma's Boy very funny! Ice age 2 should really be for kids but it is good for a chuckle!!!

As a generalisation, when in doubt, i go by whos in the movie. These actors seldom disappoint. And they dont necessarily need to be in the lead role.

Obviously Pachino and de niro (though they both had a few lame movies lately)

Edward Norton

Brad Pitt

Samuel Jackson

Willem Dafoe

John Turturro

William H Macy

Steve Buscemi

Harvey Keitel

oh, and anything by Tarantino

You need to watch the original Manchurian Candidate Beast, the Denzel Washington one is a crappy remake.

I second E46's American History X, Edward Norton will blow you away, it is such a powerful movie.

Saw a Good Women this weekend, it was good, Helen Hunt and Scarlet Johansson, based on Oscar Wilde's Mrs. Windermere's Fan. If you like Wilde, you'll like this. :)

I bought the movies in the Gold Souq, there is a little mall with a/c, in the middle you can find all kind of copies (purses, watches, movies). They have all the new movies My super Ex-Girlfriend, Poseidon, Miami Vice, Just my luck and more more more. I got like 14 new movies, they are just ok, is always better in the cinema.
