I thought I would let all you non rugby people and newbies know about the best event in the middle east.

Â The Dubai rugby 7s.Â From 30 November to 2nd December.Â The tournament features all the best rugby teams in the world in an easy to understand and quick format but the rugby plays second fiddle to the 3 day party.

Approximately 30,000 people attend the event which has live music, cheerleaders, a bit of international rugby (NZ, Australia, South Africa, Fiji, England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Arabian Gulf and a few others) as well as heineken everywhere you look.

Truly brilliant and not to be missed if you fancy a bit of a change from Doha for a weekend.

there is a group from Dukhan that do the Dubai 7's

I think they do the HK 7's as well whenever possible..
