DRIVING LICENSE TO WOMEN

I just passed my road test last 18 of this month and my friend the next day.

Does she has a valid driving license? if so tell her to get an International Driving License before leaving your country. so she can start driving when she gets here.

While depending on her International license start applying her to get the local license, but I tell you she has to do all the test they require here as only British, American, GCC Arab countries are automatically translated to local licenses. Asians has start from very beginning. She has to pass the Road sign. L and pocket parking before having the road test. Now, pocket parking it the hardest others are quite easy.

If she has, then the rest would be easy. If she has an International drivers license, she just need an eye test and they'll issue her a license. If she has a valid license (from your country), she just need to do a refresher course (choose from 10, 15, 25 day courses) in one of the accredited driving school here and she could be scheduled for a driving test.

If she had none, then I might suggest have her learn how to drive first. Or she would need to go the full course (30-45 days, I think) and it would be costly, indeed. Full course is QAR 1,500+/-, depening on what school. A day's session is only 45 mins -1 hour, so go figure.
