What is the process for getting a new qatari diving license, if you do not have any other countries license.

How much time does it take and who all are eligible..

even though I did not wear the set belt during the test. After driving around with the inspector for 30 minutes he reminded me that I did not wear the seat belt. I said sorry and I passed

The process of obtaining a license in Qatar is simple:

1- Learn to wear your safety belt.

2- Respect the speed zones.

3- Don't act like you are the only that own the roads.

4- Defensive driving and respecting the right of way is your best tool and knowledge.

5- If you feel none of the above is right for your need, then get yourself a "Helicopter".

PS

I forgot to tell you,You need to maintain your distance between cars.

Waiting List of 2-3months you can take care of by paying QR200-300 extra. The test you have to pass properly, unless u know some top guy in the police.

Yes, I do believe vitamin W works here. But you need to know the top guys or some of your friends need to know them. Either way, I don't think that is the right way to go about it.

The wait time is to get going with classes at the driving schools. Tests, as far as I've heard, are not much of a problem.

I got my license 12 years back. I flunked like 4 times. Although I had cleared my internal test in first go. My road driving was pretty good and I had a driving license from India too. I guess they just wanted to fail me! But I do know of a lot of people including my wife, who managed to get their license in first attempt.

All the best and do check out the driving school I spoke of earlier.

Can anyone expedite this process. Is the waiting time high due to test date...

How difficult it is to clear the test in first try.. ( i.e even if you have made no mistake) i.e in case they fail you once ( like they do in most arab countires) do again wait for anoth 3- 5 month for next date ?

Yup the process Charan gave is quite right.

I remember seeing a new driving school come up somewhere at Abu Hamour area. Try that one, there might be slightly less or no wait time.
