Drive to Dubai Vehicle query

Hi
Can someone enlighten me about the formalities of taking ones own vehicle in qatar and driving to dubai in it? I mean i would like to know about taxes to be paid and permits and insurance to be taken for the vehicle if iam supposed to drive with it to dubai and back.

Aha thats news for me.... so if i hav a loan running on my vehicle i cant straight away drive to dubai with it???? What paper do i need to get from the bank? and how difficult is it usually to get one?

U need to have a valid local permit & insurance for yr period of travel. the insurance for saudi & uae is done at the border. make sure the veh does not have a bank loan or u will need a letter from the bank.
