Yeah i cannot but agree about the excitement on the roads and the danger there, that is the main reason of doing the event at a safe place, coming events will tackle safety issues. stay tuned and you will know about it :)

I love it too and I use to do when I use my sport car
I tried it in my Pink Kia , but the slicks didn't have enough traction :O(
Even daily drive in roads of Qatar gives enough adrenaline rush I think. The roads here are not very much different from race tracks with everyone in hurry.
