Is the dress code and attire can effect a person’s attitude?

Due to the nature of my profession, I use to visit companies on a regular basis and I had visited one such company on a 8 story building couple of days ago.

Since I went early morning, there was around 10 people waiting for the lifts and all of them undoubtedly office employees. Looking at their dress code and attire, I was just wondering, will this bring spirit for a natural office work. (This is a only a personal opinion of mine)

Different shirts were worn, mostly check shirts, Denim trousers, Jacket with Denim. Then could not find a trim or shaved face. No shoe found being polished. (I assume all of them academically qualified for the job with certain degree or MBA)

However I went up in the 4th floor to visit my contact and he had informed the reception to take over the documents from me. I had to call the person and say, that at least he needs to know what am I talking about and he rushed to me on a half way meal at around 8.30 am. So I verify everything and he took the document with a grown un clean nail on his thumb fingure

I just thought, will a proper office cloth, possibly plain shirt, plain trouser, polished shoes, trimmed or shaved face, Short hair or monthly haircut, etc., make a difference in the presentation skill and the attitude of the office employees.

As we know gaining knowledge at the any age of life is not a shame. It can be any sort of knowledge or learning. Example, how to walk in the road. How to use the elevator, Where to throw the cigarette butt, Where to spit, How to use the bathroom, personal & public hygiene etc.,

In my opinion, the companies should employ ex-armed officers, or hospitality back round, hoteliers related to a HR or separate division coming under HR position, to make the above functions run. So it may be a time to think for the company MD’s or CEO’s about this.

I wrote the above with a constructive mind set and not to be biased or blaming any community, group or region. This post will only make myself more educated than anything I give for some one. As I believe I am at the first instance to learn before the others. So take with good spirit and wish everyone a good day. ( all above writing is only a personal opinion of mine)

I work as a manager and will totally agree with your point.

Yes how you dress does affect your personality. Being dressed in Suit makes you professional . Doing up you hair nails and having a bath daily building your confidence on meeting people.

Working in an office needs a professional outfit

Working out doors can have a dress code too for comfort and professionalism>

are you representing a company (Sales / HR Etc. ) You need to be formal or in a suit.

If your an onsite engineer Jeans and you basic PPE does perfectly well

What you wear does define you !!

You are right . You need to dress for the occasion and also wear appropriate clothes for your work .

Humans usually conform so will dress like their peers.

KHAN.

Some Hitler or Muzzolini has trained your mind in a military way. Be practical man.

Get away from your dumb bookish knowledge. Never ever get into other peoples freedom.

Let people wear whatever they want provided they are Modest (ie Donot break God's Law).

This article about personnel looks only but you hide the fact results.

It will be foolish to wear blazer, tie to site office who are working as engineer/accountant.

Its good to wear formal in hotels, airways, marketing exec.... these sectors need looks.

Clothes mostly hide your real personality. I prefer seeing people naked.
