This one is really a good post. It is going to help me a lot. The stuff and is very well topic related and useful for me. I quiet like the writers point of view. Good job. Straight Stairlifts I am interested in reading about more of the similar topics and would like to have further information on the same subject.

The ledges on each floors are not that safe and the escalators are loated by the ledge between floors...isn't it?

The fact that someone already died (by suicide or accident) is still AN ISSUE OF SAFETY, is it not?

You want to JUST discuss about the "safety of using those escalators" ONLY?

to the skating rink below and was reported as SUICIDE.

I'm not particularly sure if it was last year or the year before that but it was also discussed here on QL but briefly.

to share my live experience not here but my own contry. i heard of 7 years old sweet girl screaming with left hand attached to the moving hand rail gap opening at the bottom side (where you can see the handrail dispappear into the escalator inner cover). what i witnessed was horrible, her hand was inside the small gap and possibly broken. just my 2 cents view, care your small kids when at escalator, kids are always kids...

Dear friends, I too observed the same last year,If you watch carefully, from the top floor there are no other fire escapes at all and that escalator has no middle support. If suppose a fire occurrences in that floor, every one will rush to the lonely escalator, that will not take the abrupt load , it may collapse may leads to a big disaster.Dear DCC FM team please look in to the suitabilities and alternatives for the Fire Escapes in the top floor, calculate the Fire escapes based on the floor area.Hope,History should not repeat in this advance Country.

Horrible design. No concern for safety whatsoever.

Operations Manager of CC is the person to start with this concern.

Few months back I visited his office .. on Carrefore floor .. ask any security guard .. for directions to his office.

He is a nice gentleman.

If you need I can PM you his name & Landline tel no.

'ECE'Projekt. is the Hambarg based German company which is managing this shopping centre.

I have noticed this too.

This Escalator directly above the ICE Skating Field and no any protection around or surrounding it.

Specially when Parents Carrying their Children on the Escalator, its very Dangerous. Should Attach a Protection Wall or something to the Escalator. A Glass Wall Atleast.

thanks for bringing this thread.
