OK, I've been in Qatar for about a month. I have Eid off. What recommendations do you have for me to see with a month off? I really would appreciat recommendations.
Went on a Dhow ride and BBQ last night with the Canadians in Qatar group the was fun. I'll certainly try out the pubs, may even see you there. Basically I think I'm going to play tourist for a while.
If you go to any of the local and well established hotels like The Ramada (my favourite only cos I know the well), The Sheraton, The Regency, Rydges, Merweb etc.. thats precisely the kind of question they should be able to answer fairly quickly and comprehensively, even if they'll start by plugging events at their own hotels. I know the Ramada will have a fair programme of things going in, including resuming their famous comedy nights.
I'll be doing the same thing - been here about a month too - so good luck to both of us. Hey, on the bright side, at least the city's bars and clubs in Doha's hotels will be open from tomorrow as I believe today is the last day of Ramadan. I'm gagging for a cold pint of Guiness!!
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
