Guys some of my posts just disappear from this website. Is it that the moderetors of the website deem them unfit or is there a technical issue?

Segmund, to circumvent any unpleasantness or disappointment, one way or another, why don't you start a QL writer's group?

There you, and any member of that group, can post as many stories as you like.

Nazi state is a little hard! No reply from a Mod? Have I not replied on this thread. This Mod didn't remove the thread and the Mods don't own the site. We are members of QL just as you are. I think you will also find that accounts were "blocked" not because of comments about nationals but for other reasons. Regards

Well, I would still not relate Qat with it bro. I think it is QL, which is like that. A moderator is an individual. I would not extrapolate his actions to the whole nation (although, people usually, unconsciously do that).

But I still do not understand it coz I never made any comment against anyone. My story has NOTHING to do with Qatar except to entertain readers here.

I was thinking of writing small stories for QL sometimes, but I am too discouraged to do so now.

I is so much like a NAZI state now,,, one may like it a laugh, the other will delet it and maybe your account also, like i said many good people have had their accounts deleted in the past for making a comment about Qatar and /or it's nationals. Close off on it you cant change small minds. you will nevr get a reply from MOD

Just make note of this page (lest the mod should delete that post too). Then you can read it after a hundred years also. On a google page, it is 'secure from the heaven's eye.' It is only on personal websites that posts get deleted so easily.

Well, I really do not understand it myself. Anyways, the site belongs to the owner so we would not challenge his decision after all. If you would like to read the story ( I got some messages for the story to be published online), you can see it on this page.

Thanks.

Segmund, I didn't follow your story and don't know why it has been deleted, but sometime a post with bad taste humor or even extremely ugly and vulgar threads remain unnoticed on the main forum for ever and some harmless threads get deletion...unable to understand

I do not need to PM. Obviously, when we have pork/bacon and men getting pregant with dogs like messages on the forum, stories like Sheila have no place. Great job mod.

By Moderator• 22 Nov 2011 23:31

You could always send a PM to the Mods to find out why your post was deleted.

If that is the case, then we could posts our long posts on a page of another website (I am a web-designer myself). But I think it is better to keep them on QL, as this will help the owners get some revenue on the advertisements.

I think QL's popularity has gone out of control by the moderators with limited time and it has started telling on the server load as well. One solution to this issue was supposedly, discouraging excessive and lengthy posts. The reason why 'recent comments' like feature has been disabled that promoted quick posts from the thread participants. Moderators! correct me if I am wrong.

Looks like mods taught you were plagiarising.

is about an immoral lady (presumably), that's why it was deleted! And wait for the removal of part 2!

Just for you guys I have posted the part two of the story, if you like it, I will post part three two. I am still waiting from any response from the moderator as to which way they did not like my post. At least it would be good to know so we do not repeat the mistake again.

I was also wondering why they deleted your wonderfully written story of SHEILA. There was nothing offensive in it and it was done in good taste. I was so looking forward to the second part:(

Well, I personally find the locals here in Qatar rather simple, straight-forward, humble and good. For that reason, I respect them.

Nothing can ever stop me from telling the truth. Whether that upsets someone or not is secondary and I do not care about it.

I have seen that most of the people get aggessive in debates here. That is not how it should be. If someone starts to cuss or abuse, the moderator would be left with no choice but to either block the person, or delete their post.

By the way, do you know how many moderators are there on QL? Is it a company or an indvidual website?

By anonymous• 22 Nov 2011 17:40

ask look back on old post of the locals on national day and the way they behave, dont upset the mod,,,

May be but I have never said anything against Arabs. I love all humans in general and Muslims in particular, be they Arab or non-Arab.

Actually, I posted one story which I wrote in college, and I only published its part one, and when I tried to post its part two, I noticed part one missing.

I am really wondering what was wrong with a fictional story.

fredom of speach is not a issue here in qatar or qatarliving, if you say anything about arabs it is deleted and and you can have your accoung cancelled if they want,, many good people have been cut off because they say the truth that hurts the locals,,,, sorry but thats qatarliving and the moderetors for you.
