Customs Problems

I recently have had some personal belongings (clothes, golf clubs etc) sent to me from the US via TNT. TNT called me a few days ago to sat that the items would not be released by customs without the original invoices for the items. I explained to the idiot from TNT that as all the items were old and had been purchased a long time ago there were no invoices. He just moronically repeated the word "invoice". It seems that I can't collect them without an invoice.

Anyone else experience this or have any solutions?

Get someone from the US (or you could actually do it yourself really) to make up a commercial invoice for you declaring the value of the goods to be US1.00 and of no commercial value for private use only. This should sort you out.

You might also have better luck next week with the Eid holiday over and people who know what they're doing back in business.
