Having a dead LCD screen is common with Toshiba laptops. M friend was having the same issue with his Toshiba laptop, but the whole screen turned into red. If you want to fix it then take it to Jareer Bookshop. They won't be able to do that in Sofitel, Jareer is selling those Toshiba laptops and their workshop guys do fix those. Just give it a try and let me know.

Doesn't matter if u r still in the warranty period or not - the best place to go is Toshiba Service Center - located in the same building with Jarir Bookstore - the entrance is on the left side of the building. What ur laptop have - if i suppose right - is the display lamp what is damaged - something like this is better to be replace in a authorized service office. And the price is not so cheap - hope to be still in warranty! The phone is 4424827.

count to 10 and replace it. Worth a try, and wont do any harm.

My Toshiba laptops have made some weird noises when battery has thrown a wobbler.

Ok so it might be the graphics card - did you buy it here in Qatar?

Is it plugged in or running on the battery at the moment. Sounds a silly question, but happened to me once when hub unplugged it without me knowing lol
