exactly WK wher are those bashers? they are just bashers who dig for the negatives on India.

As per reports and statements from many athlets and officials from the 71 participating coutries, this is the best ever CWG..not just the venues , but the village, media centre, food n facilities..etc

Go India Go

Curious - Why to wish Congrats to India??. Is INDIA not capable of hosting the games & ceremony?

By anonymous• 4 Oct 2010 08:23

Cryspy that's why I mentioned few here.

I can't see them posting now, maybe just waiting for the next problem to happen in CWG

Brit, little more significant things like birth place of Budhha and Mt. Everest does help in a big way in the tourism in Nepal which is the back bone of its weak economy.

Sorry, no more hijack from my side.

This thread is for India and CWG.

It was really Awesome....and Magnificent...

They really have set the Standard for the CWG Opening Ceremony.... If Beijing set it for Olympics Delhi2010 set it for CWG...

Rocket Scientist and former President APJ Abdul Kalam got the highest cheer ...proving once again that he, along with Sachin Tendulkar are the most respected names in India.

.....and the second highest cheer was for the Pakistan Contigent

.....finally Suresh Kalmadi got booed during his speech...I loved that part and I believe so did Pargat Singh one of the most magnificent Hockey players to have played for India...

yeah yeah, justify it in whatever way but doesn't change the facts that Budhha was born in Nepal. My country is too small with not much to display in world arena. India needn't take that way from us as it has much more in itself I think :-))

Katrina ... Who can forget it .. Especially george W :O(

drmana Prince Siddhartha was from Nepal, the prince became Lord Buddha in Gaya, Bihar so they showed it that way :P

just thinking of reasons :P

Opening was good but I was a bit offended by the way they showed that Gautam Budhha was from India. I know Budhha may be a part of Indian culture but still didn't go down well with me being from Nepal which is the real birth place of Budhha. India is too big with rich culture and didn't need that to be highlighted. Out of topic but still wanted to say that.

Good to see that the threads on problems in CWG went for many pages and nobody is bothering to comment here after the opening ceremony went smoothly.

For the few Pakistanis here who have spent the better part of last 15 days searching on the internet for problems with the games and then posting them here, Pakistan got the second biggest cheer after Indian contingent during the opening ceremony. That should tell you a thing or two about the common man's attitude.

Well we do finish everything at the 11th hour but good to see everything going smoothly there

If this would have flopped any further, it would have become 'India shining' for congress...just like the BJP.

Yeah now all the noises seem to have stopped about facilities not being ready and so on. The countries making the loudest noises must have realized that they were making all the wrong noises for all the wrong reasons. Some of this western and so called developed countries must realize that India can do to the commonwealth games and other world sporting bodies what they have done to the game of cricket and leave this countries feeling inadequate.

Great job India, here's hoping for your sake that the event makes people forget your total incompetence and slavery of labourers.

Incredible, India....
