Coming to Qatar.

So I'm due in Qatar soon and wondering what it's like. I've read alot about the QR, which im guessing is the currency. Does anyone know what the ratio is to US dollars? And also, I hear that gold and pearls are very cheap. I'd like to meet some people while I am there.

Yes, dollar ratio is same but pearls and golds are not cheap. even living expenditure is more expensive than US. I don't know what would be your field of work here, but normally Americans are getting US$10,000+. Finally I would agree with spicemom life is too short here.
