cheating taxi drivers!

since that i'm riding taxi more often especially on the weekends and never i put in my mind that these drivers will never cheat on you, because of the way they make friendly conversation with you as if they know you very well...from day to day of taking taxi, i noticed that something fishy goin' on..i cannot imagine that having the same route but different rate i'm paying, and this is the time that i decide to consult one of my friend from karwa,
and here's how the driver's cheat on you:

CHECK THE METER AREA, FLAG DOWN RATE NORMALLY IS SHOWN 4 RIYAL, BUT TAKE A CLOSER LOOKED TO THE CODE BESIDE THIS 4 RIYAL FLAGDOWN.
IN NORMAL HOURS IT MUST SHOW THE LETTER "I" (MEANS INSIDE DOHA) AND WHAT THE DRIVERS ARE DOING WITHOUT THE PASSENGERS KNOWLEDGE, IS THEY PUSHED AGAIN THE BUTTON TO TURN IT TO "O" (MEANS OUTSIDE DOHA) SO THAT THE RATE WILL GO UP FOR THEIR (TAXI DRIVERS) OWN BENEFITS AND USUALLY THESE DAYS THEY ARE COVERING THIS AREA WITH RECEIPT OR BOTTLE OF WATER SO THAT THE PASSENGER WILL NOT NOTICE THAT FROM "I" THEY QUICKLY CHANGED IT TO "O".

Been taking taxi everyday too and i'm paying bigger amount sometimes. I noticed that if the driver flagdown the right upper corner "I", i pay less. If he flagdown it "O" i pay more. So if i saw its "O" always remind them i'm Inside Doha. Now i pay same amount everyday except traffic hours.

yes all the time i experienced it but i always call their attention why 0 when its still daytime, should be 1..coz 0 applies only night rate and 1 ni daytime...if its in 0 meter will go high...good thing i knew this, but how about those other commuters?? they suffer and will never knew this that they are being cheated by Carwa drivers...i always argue with these drivers...but seem all drivers i've encountered i've been experiencing it always...but they can never cheat me 'coz i knew the system...
