so the gulf times about a month ago announced the new law on sponsorship was nearly complete... does anyone know whats going to happen and whether the release letter system will end?
i been resigned from my job in doha before 1.5 month and i tried all ways to go back visit visa ok any body can go back by visit visa second day no problem but 2 years law please i need help about new law also
Dear, as per my knowledge, u can enter Qatar on visit visa or business visa during 2 years ban period. But, you will not get any employement visa, until your visa in UAE cancelled. So, even if u complete 2 years out of Qatar, make sure, your visa in UAE should be cancelled to get an employement visa in Qatar, as per the current law.
Guys... I resigned from my previous job 4 months ago in Qatar and currently I am working in Abu Dhabi... Does anybody know if I can enter Qatar on Visit Visa during this 2 years ban???
but basically you are right. When the law is passed (likely to be in the next 2 - 3 months) it will be in the way you have described. I believe that the question is whether this law will apply to everyone (including contracted laborers) and that this is the reason for the delay.
I believe the change has already happened but is not set in stone (it seems to done on a case by case basis). Instead of having a 2 year ban of working in Qatar (if you can't get an NOC from past employer) it will be a 6 month ban. After 6 monthes you can find another employer without an NOC. It's basically the same laws as Dubai, however I've heard of some cases where it's happened but only for senior positions. No concrete law has been written as such, but as I said I've known some people who have recently left employers and have only had to wait 6 monthes until starting somewhere else with no NOC. But do remember this is a new rule, so I wouldnt go resigning until the law has been written and publsihed!

Hi

Hope that helps!
