Cell phone/ Long distance rates

I will be moving to Qatar soon and I would like to find out what the living expenses are; can someone let me know how much it would cost monthly to get an SIM cardÂ subscription and rates per minutes of air time. Also, It would be great if you can give me the rate of land lines for long distance calls to other middle eastern countries and North America.

Is it possible to get pre-paid cards for cell instead of subscription and monthly payment....

is postal services for international destinations reliable and fast enough??

Go to Qtel website and look at the choices. You can't get anything but a prepay till you get your RP.

Use Skype (from your computer) for your landline calls to home, 3 cents US per minute.

Ever think of Skype(internet)? Freecalls internationally if other person has a computer and dirt cheap if they only have land line.
