there is also titanium and vcool on salwa road. VCool is the best.

these have head resistant plastic and aren't just tints.

Remember though 30% is the limit. Put anymore and it's your own risk.

I'd go with spartanking.Car 2000. Close to Sanaa roudabout. Got my car done for 60QR. very light tint in the front windows and dark tint in the rear. This is for my wife's car. No tint can put on the windscreen and back glass/boot glass.

Important Suggestion - The black tint in the rear passenger windows are very dangerous while driving - it creates additional blind spots especially while driving at night or when one does not have a passenger to guide you.So put in a cheap tint so that you have an option of removing the same incase it becomes too difficult to drive. Its all a matter of taking extra care then and driving carefully once you are used to it.

The expensive tints should be put on the front driver and front passenger. Not worth it all around unless you intend to spend quite some time in Qatar. V Cool, P J's etc all good. They really do block the heat/UV once installed but then again you've got a huge windscreen to let the heat/UV rays, so i considered it useless. These would be effective if installed on all the windows of the car (safe too cause they are transparent). However this is not allowed in Qatar

Hey, you dont really have to go to the traffic department before you get the tints, they charge you for the back one when your car goes for the road permit inspection. go to moghlena, the area near sana round-about, i got my BMW back windows tinted full black. the people in moghlena are pretty professional and they chareg around 40 Qrs a window. they have cheaper ones too and expensive ones as well.

peace

you can do the tints at the car accessories shops along B-ring road. That would cost you around 100 QRs for the back windows.

The branded thingies like V-Kool, Ziebart, Johnson are clear sun barriers. we are talking about 2 different things here.

you have to go to the traffic control department.. pay Qrs. 20 (& guess qrs 5/10 for the stamp) get a new registration card .. then go to anyyyyy car accessories shop (if you want it black) and get the back windows done.. make sure dont cover the front onez or even the rare window... if you want the heat proofing.. then V-Cool, Lamp johnson, Ziabert..Platinum... you name them... (they can give you transparent as well as colored) pricing depends if a 4x4 or sedan...huh ... i guess it enough... (^_*)

I did mine last year. I went down to Madina Khalifa Traffic Police for the permit. I think it is cost 25 QR ... i paid the runner QR 50 for doing the running around ( i wait in his little office to get it done).

Then i went down toJohnson in Salwa Road. I paid QR 1500 for my Hyundai Matrix. The front and the driver side is transparant and the passenger side at the back pitch black. Serve the purpose , so my son can sheltered from the heat.

where do i have to go then?

you cannot have black windows.

The maximum legal amount is 30% tint, and thats on the back passenger windows only, it's not allowed on the front windshield or the rear window.

Those who do have it get fined and in some cases are asked to remove it on the spot.

The only way to have super-dark tint is with special request. And that is with special permission (because you have a family) only.
