It's like everything, you get used to it. Tongue ring doesn't hurt when they clamp your tongue; it hurts hours later and only lasts 4 days. You can get all these really groovy rings that glow in the dark!!

You can't eat the 1st day as it swells like you wouldn't believe but just think of the long term benefits....husband will be happy :p

Haven't had a lip ring, but sure it couldn't be as painful as the tongue...As for eating and speech, like the tongue piercing you'll get used to it in not time...go for it girl...worse case scenario, take it out :D

There is only one life time and it is not a dress reharsal so live it to the fullest....unless ofcourse you believe in life after death....coming back as a a butterfly LOL!

If you worry too much about getting old and wrinkled then you are definitely not living for now, that will come at its time and pace.

If a tatoo and a nose ring makes me feel better now, the so be it, but i will not forgo the pleasure now then whin about 'i wish i did' when i get old, saggy and scary.

By the way wrinkled skin looks bad with or without marks...a tatoo could probably contour differently.Ha :-)

I think at one time having a tattoo was fashionable now I think it is quite out.

What everyone should know is that the proceedure is quite painful and if not done correctly can cause infection same goes piercing of the B...B.. or the tongue. Why anyone would want to pierce their tongue is beyond my comprehension.

Definately a tattoo a personal thing, but as GG said you may land up on the wrong side of the law.

To have a tattoo removed, and although they can do it quite well nowadays, your skin will be patchy - that means where the tattoo was it will be discoloured and they may not be able to remove it all.

However, thinking on how we all get old and the skin eventually sags how do you think a shrumpled butterfly will look on a shrumpled bu...

That is great news...if its just uncomfortable. I read somewhere that cabin pressure is more uncomfortable than a first piercing but a second is sickening...not sure.

I was planning of getting one too and was honestly thinking of getting it done in UK where the level of experience is of comfort and whats more you do need to care whether it's illegal or not :-)

trust me ppl.. u dnt wna get anything pierced or tattooed here.. just not safe.. there are plenty of people who do it privately here.. but i dont care how much experience u've had inking people or making holes in them.. u aint touching me in doha..

han19... go for te belly button ring.. its gorgeous.. i got mine done.. twice.. lol

first time i was 17... took it out a year later coz it got too hard to hide from my parents and it closed up over night.. now im 23 and no longer care wat my parents think.. so i got it done again.. but in london...

doesnt really hurt that much.. 2nd time round i actually got it without an anesthetic spray or anything... but for like 3 days afterwards ur stomach is kinda sore like uve done a hundred sit ups after not exercising for a while u know..

i have zero tolerance for pain.. i pass out when i get a blood test..so trust me when i say its just uncomfortable not painful.... but damn worth it...

Don't know about tattooes but you can get you body piercied by a GP. Apparantely, the most hygenic and safe thing to do, IMHO.

Do it!!!

Or you might regret not doing it when you are 65.

My Mrs has top lip right, side of nose left and the top of her left ear.

And 3 in each ear.

And belly button.

Wear tiny things in them though because that looks classy.

anyway i was feeling very "crazy" yesterday and was actually contemplating piercing the lower lip or roundabouts there, under the lip. the idea is still quite active in my mind. a tiny diamond is what i have in mind.

my question: doesnt it hurt?

is it comfortable to have piercings in such places.

how does it feel having a stud on the tongue.doesnt it interfere while eating? dont advise on the sex advantage bit.

hope someone can answer.
