Scarlett thats a fine reason... I agree - your own speech pattern is very important as it reflects your identity. I just didn't want it seen as a 'British' thing.

By Oryx• 5 Dec 2007 09:14

Yes I agree here

In fact when in Africa I buy my bedtime moisturiser because the stuff for black skin is thick and creamy.

My favourite is Clicks the Chemist in South Africa: Nice and Lovely: Shea Butter and Coca - only a few bucks and it is great

I have an interesting face cream from Burkina Faso!

now I'm getting confused, here !

By Scarlett• 5 Dec 2007 09:11
Scarlett

ok just don't say I didn't warn ya...

I agree on the over priced items...good genetics are the best anti aging material on the market..

However..that being said..there ARE some really good items out that work..and do cost a bit more but its because of the delivery system and the money it cost the company to research it, that it costs a bit more..the department store stuff is mostly rubbish...a lot of the stuff the spas sell are too...they always have to prove it to me that it works before I will purchase anything

ohh and you really don't need toner..that was invented back when they used cold cream to remove makeup..got the excess goop off your face..and restored the pH balance of the skin, which is absolutely necessary for healthy skin...nowdays the cleansers are usually balanced so you don't need them, but its an extra marketing tool so people buy it.

By starseed• 5 Dec 2007 09:08

when in a dusty place like Doha... wash, wash, wash - remember dust will stick like sh** on a young oily skin - lol

Dont forget to wash...

Rubbish Scarlett... good squeeze... wash your face - toner... bobs yr uncle - skin fine.... LoL

all these over priced skin treatments ... and the pople that spend fortunes on face creams:

a) don't need it cos they are lovely

b)ugly as a moose's rump so a bit of cream isn't going to help

Just get the regular cucumber stuff from Boots

and these over price treatments are often flogged in Qatar by Lebanese girls who have had so much plastic surgery they have a face like Barbie's back side... so i don't want their advice anyway!

with staph infections with your advice..lol

NEVER pop boils...that forces the staph into the body...and then you are in HUGE trouble..

same thing with blisters...never puncture them..that allows bacteria in and you end up with an infection..

squeeze pustules or black heads...only if you know how on the blackheads..otherwise you can cause scarring..pustules..always leave alone...

By starseed• 5 Dec 2007 09:00

By Scarlett• 5 Dec 2007 08:58

to talk to me...lol

ohh and i know what you mean about the ready to pop ones..however...squeezing them just ruptures the follicle wall and then you have all that bacteria out in the epidermis itself..and can lead to yet another pustule...or worse

A much cheaper way is just to put a paper bag over your head.

If you want to walk around just cut out two circles for the eyes.

Don't use plastic because you might stop breathing... but then again some kinky people like this.

silly guy..

but here you go...

exfoliate(about 2 times a week), using a mild scrub..try to get the ones that have microbeads in them...anything else will cause microscopic cuts in your skin..

clean with a mild cleanser twice a day

avoid doing things that rub dirt and oils into your skin..such as sitting with your hand on your chin..phones up against your face..etc..

get facials...

Geneis..oil based are alright for men as long as they have dry/normal skin...oily skin, male or female should only use water based products

Marriot is the best for deep cleansing. Stay away off Four seasons, thier facials are oil-based (and not for men skin).
