best exchange rates from pound sterling to QR? Advice needed!!

Hi all

Coming out to doha soon and wanted to know where I can get the best rates of exchange from GB pounds to Qatar riyals. I've asked here at the exchange bureau but they said banks in Qatar may offer a better rate. As of today HSBC offer rate of 6.72QR=£1 is there any where better. If this is true where could I find out some rates? As I'm looking to exchange around £4000.

hi there, same predicament - can anyone suggest any good banks etc that can exchange sterling to ryals at a good rate 7+ region. cheers.

6.72QR=£1 ??? … I am running to HSBC to exchange some money NOW!!!

Sha001, Dweller is right, (unfortunately) today's rate is: QR 7.3 for a pound and you should be able to get something better than the HSBC's rate

Sha001. If you do a search on QL for exchange houses, it should throw up some of the exchanges.

Forget HSBC. XE.com is currently showing QR 7.30688 for £1
