love = being single

miss = being in a relationship

yet to love the "miss" is a profound choice of living a life into utmost revelry. Life is more colorful if to live with someone cooperatively. So much wonderful it is if to have exercise our worth living a life to share with your chosen partner. Singleness is not a choice in a way but rather it is the situation from where life started and keeped it not to change until today. There must supposed a change when we just willingly embraced the chance. But by doubting thereon, it is that fear who embraced your life wholly so why no wonder if there are who still remain single until today.

Welcome to the club of the recently single. Don't worry about people getting married and having babies here. Nobody gets married and if you get pregnant you have to leave the country.

Well, I'm recently single (not exactly a happy moment, but kinda inevitable) and I'm thinking that being on my own will be good for a while (probably quite a long while, though). Far better to be alone than in the wrong relationship. That said, I'm sure there will come the point of going sitr crazy with envy - esp. as all my friends are in the getting-married-and-having-babies mode. Gotta watch those hormones!

Well Doha gives you a very hard choice in my experience, either you stay with a great job, making great money and deal with being single OR you go back to your home country/anywhere else outside the GCC and make crap money BUT get married and have babies. It's a hard choice.

Anything I say now will sound so cliche... better to be single and happy... the right guy will come along someday...yadda yadda yadda!

All true though!

But I hafta admit that being single in Doha doesn't sound all that great, by your description above!!! Yikes!

:-)

lol notfromhere, it's just that people like ruphill and others act like it's a single persons choice to be single! Like all us singletons are single because "Oh I don't want to get married, or, I don't want to be with someone" That attitude just makes single people feel worse.

Marriage is beneficial for some people, but not for everyone. There are lots of miserable married people out there!!!!

(Does that help at all, Gypsy? lol?)

Marriage is beneficial because it offers security and stability. Marriage has a way of making people grow up and think about the future. Nights out with friends and crawling stores for clothes are replaced by eating in together and saving for a house. But while that priority shift eventually creates more stable finances, in the short term, it puts a squeeze on your wallet. However, being single you will enjoyed your independence but what if time will pass and things will gets old.. you will be alone facing your death without child of your own, unless you single parent, unwed... on such way being married is nice, problems, troubles, polygamous partners is just a part of life you will face off..

Being single in this country sucks. The number of decent men is 1 in a 100,000, and it gets to the point that you need a guy just to chase off all the losers. I hate being single.

Nothing really wrong with being single, and some likes it like that.

Though, I miss being in a relationship... =(

i dont like to get old alone and single...

but choosing between a miserable married life and single blessedness, ill choose the latter... :)

the way i view singleness in ones life... is forever...

just a matter of difference other people and the way the community treat you called as married/taken... coz that's the norms in life nobody could sway... except... for the practice of culture or religion each one had embraced to follow.

I am glad that atleast someone agrees to what I am saying. I just hope and wish that one day my family and friends would agree with my philosophy as well instead of always bugging me to get married..

On the contrary, I think being single is a blessing! I love being single ... no commitments, total freedom to do what one wants. Life is beautiful!

No way... Being single is definitely not a curse but yes in this country it is not that easy for a single woman to survive. I am a 33 year old single woman and I have to admit that sometimes I do feel lonely but when I see my married friends having problems with their husbands or in-laws, I consider my single status a blessing. It is better to be single than to be married to the wrong man. What do you say?

By Vivo Bonito• 10 Jun 2008 17:37

me too loves sometimes the moment of being alone...

in loneliness there you would see the happiness opposite beyond the moment where you are currently in...

coz if once a man is on the mode of his happiest moment...

neither he dont have that power in his heart to remember the saddest things... its just on every tips of his nerves.... uhu! uhu! uhu!
