bank advice needed!

i'm moving to dubai next week, I have a job sorted and everything but I went to find out from arab bank today about paying my loan payments from dubai and they said I had to pay off all the loan BEFORE i left the country. So I have had to pay all the money and close the account. This is the main account I have that my salary goes into. Now I also have an account with another bank with a credit card, I collect airmiles on this, and do not want to lose this account, i also still owe money on the credit card. I phoned the bank and asked if I could make payments from dubai and they said this was fine, but I wasn't specific about me leaving qatar permantely. Does anyone know if this will be a problem? I won't get residency in Dubai for 3 months so I can't open a bank there until this time, so its important for me to keep my qatar account, plus I don't have the money to pay back all the credit card right now as i've just had to pay back all the loan.
if anyone has had similar experience please could they let me know! Thanks

I have the same experience, except that the credit (mastercard & visa card) I left was in Dubai. So while I'm here in qatar I was paying my credit cards through a friend for more than a year until last month all my credits are cleared and already closed my accounts.

I think it won't be a problem as long as you're paying your credits every month.

As for not closing your bank account here, in my experience I had not a problem, when I resigned from my first job here, I have to leave and stay in Dubai, and I have an account here which I left open, after 3 mos., I came back here and still use the same account for my payroll.

they said i can set up a standing order from my current account to my credit card so paying it isn't a problem, its whether they let me keep the credit card if i'm not in qatar that is the problem :S

As far as I know, you need to close everything before you leave the country. Don't think they will allow you to pay from DXB.
