Ban Perfumes.........

Many women love wearing perfume, but have you ever gotten a headache from someone who has sprayed on way too much of a scent you don't like? Back in 2008, Susan McBride, sued Detroit under the Americans with Disabilities Act, claiming a coworker's fragrance made it hard for her to breathe and do her job. She was eventually awarded $100,000, and the city warned workers to avoid using scented products like perfume, cologne, deodorant, lotion, and aftershave. Now New Hampshire is looking to do the same.

Why the need to put too much of perfume?

I remember picking up my Cuban Shotputter after she'd been training. I always made "sure" I took deodorant with me. What fun we had spraying each other :o)

Someone i know told me that she went to a salon to have certain parts of her waxed and she apologized as she has not had time to shower before her appt. The beautician said not to worry and she did not smell but she said some clients who wear abayas absolutely stink when they take off their clothing and said it was clear they had not bathed in days (imagine that in the summer??) - PLEASE for humanities sake don't stop them wearing perfume, just imagine the smell of bodies unwashed for days on end - and we complain about the poor labourers at least they have an excuse!

I have noticed there are some stale perfume odours which cause discomfort to me. Someone might have used one of those typical perfumes in excess a couple of days back and may be wearing the same shirt without giving it a wash.

Australians wash more often than Europeans, or Americans generally speaking, and so we tend to think that most Europeans /Americans are "smelly".

Typical Japanese people are even more fastidious than Australians, so to them, us Aussies smell like dairy products!

Perfume is good when used in proper amount. yes, too much of everything brings somewhat a bad result.

I took a shower/bath, then i spray my perfume. :)

I love to smell good. :-)

All I'd say is, to each his own... maybe they were not fortunate enough to be brought up with proper hygiene.

That said... I know of some men and women who get turned on by smelly armpits of their spouses :-P

By ramborambo• 19 Jan 2012 11:19

Colt45, the diet adds to the cause...but they should at least, practice proper hygiene.

I get an instant migrane from it.... Was so sick one day after travelling in the same transport as one of my collegues who wore it, that I had to go home again once I had reached work....

Anything too strong, sets my migranes off:-(

For some ppl 100 ml perfume lasts only for a week..:) then again it depends on how strong the perfume is... there are many mild ones for for office use...

I hope they can apply it here too in vice versa for people who smells bad, I mean it's one thing to get a headache on a strong perfume but strong body odor is the worst especially if they use perfume to cover it.
