BA in crash warning error
British Airways apologized today for an error that left passengers on board a flight from Miami to London in a state of panic and shock.
Passengers traveling on British Airways Flight 206 were about three hours into their flight early Friday morning when an announcement warned them to brace themselves for an emergency water landing because the plane was about to go down.
"This is an emergency. We will shortly be making an emergency landing on water," the taped message said, played at around 3 a.m. on the overnight flight.
The cabin erupted in panic as startled passengers woke to the announcement and feared for their lives.
"My wife was crying and passengers were screaming," a passenger from Scotland told The Telegraph. "I thought we were going to die."

Looks like someone needs a good training there....
atleast the message did not say that we are going to crash into another world trade centre
it looks like we are generally afraid of dieing.........
I'm sure ALL passengers would have been more than happy to know it was an error and not for real!
You guys just need the smallest excuse to try and get some easy money... don't ya? :-P
Colt45 lawsuits for what? discomfort in the Air? its just a small error, apologies is enough.. Our Countries airline is already struggling...:)
passenegers to get some bucks!!
they can sue the BA for psychlogical distress..
I wonder how many lawsuits will follow :-?
LOL TB !
Was it a recorded message, or had Rizks gone to the loo and discovered the cabin crews microphone unattended?
FS I miss those days when the ladies use to show the safety procedures including how to buckle up.
Now a days they just put on a pre recorded message even the menu is on screen.:(
Maybe the pilot was making sure that the prerecorded annoucement is working well.. in case of an emergency...:)
After all we are all humans and we can make mistakes..
Well at least no one died..:)
