Anyone up for a 4x4 desert drive?

Now that summer's almost over, I'm looking forward to taking my new FJ Cruiser for a spin into the desert. It'd be great to have some company for the trip. I don't really care about the location and timing of the trip. The inland sea might be a good option, or perhaps Dukhan.

I don't have much experience with desert driving, so if there are any regulars out there who wouldn't mind me joining in for the drive, I'd love to tag along. I promise I won't be a nuisance :-)
