Hey! I was just wondering whether any of the hair salons you guys suggested, Glow included, have any temporary hair extensions that you can like rent for a night or something (you know, like those "clip-on" extensions?) I hear they do it at the four seasons but you have to buy them there and they're at about 2000 QR... I think I've heard they can be rented at the Intercontinental for a much cheaper price- can anyone confirm this?

 I do agree that there is no quality or professional salon in this town, that's what I heard.  Go to Barbie Saloon, I heard very good things about them, they are near close to al-sadd area.

Try Carolines at Al Liwan Suites.   That's where I go and I really like it.

Check out Berlant Saloon or LaForme at Nasr street, both are Lebanese saloons, I have friends working there. LaForme are the people who had make up stands during the asian games at MMC and Rescidnecy Center I think, Since the Asian Games committee chose them, I am guessing they are really good. Plus they did my hair during the games and I was impressed. You can get the no.s from 180.

It's always the small things that make big differences.

the women on here are not silly or confused. All that we are asking for is good quality service. Thats not too much to ask.

 I think all you silly woman don't know what you are talking about.  I'm from this country and I think we have the best Saloon you can find.  That's what my wife tells me.  I think all of you are silly confused women.  The real residents love all the Beuaty Saloons here in Doha.

Its too bad many salons don't treat their customers well as now their is competition and we will go elsewhere, I don't want a hairdresser that constantly leaves me to answer the phone or you get to an appt. to find out  the service you need is unavailable.  Its time for companies to learn customer service. Now that the salons are charging top dollar you should get treated well.

She doesn't do colour ... just styling and cutting... so not tooo great if you need the full monty!!

Well I made an appointment with Glow hair salon 1 week ago for a full head of highlights as well as a trim and blow dry and treatment... I was really looking forward to my session and had my husband drop me off. When I got there the owner saw me being dropped off and just smiled inviting me in.. it took her a full 20 minutes before she told me she could not do my hair as the lady who was supposed to do the foil highlights did not come into work that day... I asked why she never called me and informed me not to come in? Since my appointment was early evening. she said she thought I was having a root colour touch up?! But i had made my appointment with her and specified a full head of highlights...

Unbelievable?? What a waste of my time?! If only she could have informed that she would not be able to keep my appointment instead of letting me drive all the way out there in the evening traffic... it took forever to get home.. without being pampered;( I don't think I will go back as I feel that was so unprofessional!

There is a lot of competition out there and people who run their own business should remember this!!

It was exactly the Nails the one I've visited. Not impressed at all. Neither understanding of the seriousness of all the chemistry / biology sides, nor very good technical skills. Let alone any consulting or advice! - what they are supposed to be with the prices they charge.

That's why I don't consider them really normal.

And if the situation is the same with the hairdressers... Then it's really a desaster!

for nail you can go to 'Nails', they have some outlet around Doha. But the one i normally goes in Royal Plaza. Telp 484 4829. This place dont do hair though.

For hair i normally go to Marie Clare in Salwa Road. Her number 4689211. If you want your hair to be cut by hair sometimes in the next few days can you call them and make sure that Marie Clare around because last time i came she said she will be away for hols in france. No idea for how long.

Never do facial here ... so cant comment on that.

I think no one is abnormal all are normal :/
