i was at Jair at eight buying it and then finsihed it that day! Loved it! thanks to the people who call me stupid because i read it lol! I love the fact that i would rather curl up with a book than watch mindless boring television! HP was just amazing and such a good ending i was blown away by it! reading it again now just to ensure i didnt miss anything!

I found myself reading all kinds of sociological/historical likenesses(?) into this last one. Reckon I could equate a lot of the situations and people to society past and present - but that's just my take on it.

Oh to do English Lit. again at school *sigh*

Well of course you didn't like it if you only read the first one Oryx! The first one is a kids book. They get older as Harry gets older. She does it quite well. I personally think they stopped being kids books by the 4th book.

Or maybe write a book with that name? hey there's an idea! 'Cherche Oryx Le Frog' ou est il? il est un homme? une tadpole? un petit loiseau dans la rue de Corrie?'

Anyway, what I was going to say was that I KNOW if I'm reading a book which fires my my imagination because it's written so graphically it's like I could almost be watching a film and I'm not just speaking of Potter when I say that.

People are just against them because they think they've been over marketed. But theres a reason for it, they are really good! It's not like some dumb blockbuster movie that appeals to the lowest denominator, you have to be able to read to enjoy a book. It requires a good deal of intelligence and imagination, which the HP books have a plethora of.

a cracker, wasn't it?! takes me back to when I was a fairy *sigh*.

*meanders about, clutching an old jersey which is unravelling behind me whilst pointing a wand at a radiator trying to find the floo-network and being closely watched my a man in a white coat*

PS I DO hope that by the time I AM put away that some of the so called intelligentsia around me will realise I'm not stark, staring gaga just cos they never read HP or any other well written 'fairy tale about derring do' for that matter!

I finished it last night. Thought it was really good. I don't care what kind of book it's supposed to be. :)

Any Harry Potter sabotage is a good thing to me. To all those weak minded fools so easily marketed, it's a child book...... so sad.
