Charan has preferred to stay silent. I guess we'll have to take that as a NO. He has already lost an eye probably doesn't wanna play again for obvious reasons.

Btw, his story reminds me of a similar real life incident of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, he too coincidentally lost his one eye on the cricket field! :)

I definitely believe my good friend Charan's story, but have a hunch that Tiger Pataudi might have faked his injury and borrowed Charan's story. LOL

May they are playing both softball and hardball there but I am sure thay have 2 teams playing competitive leather ball cricket there. don't know for which tournaments. Our Mr. ksarat should find Bats and Stumps as well.

We've played three games there in two different tournaments. They were for oil & gas companies. But softball again. Maybe for recreation purpose, hence softball.

If I am not wrong Dukan QP ground has a graas out feild with an astro turf pitch. I have seen it about 1 1/2 years back. I saw them playing leather ball cricket there.

Yes quite true. But the Dukhan ground is only available for soft ball cricket.

We used to play at the parking lot of the Khalifa stadium. Concrete pitch with matting on top. Concrete outfields too, which makes it really hard to stop the ball on the really fast outfield.

But then the Asian games came up and the entire stadium was in for renovation. So cricket from there moved to west bay area. Yes the area there now is pretty huge, but with sand the outfield has gone much slower and bounce is very uneven at times.
