Yes, 17 and an alcoholic. It's not at all uncommon.

A schoolfriend of mine was an alcoholic at 17 and died at 22 :O(
May he rest in peace .. He was a great guy and a real friend..
Why is it called Alcoholics Anonymous.
I mean, the first thing you do is stand up and say, ‘My name is Calendargirl and I am an alcoholic’?
