Alcohol ban at future events

Rumours abound that the Poppy ball in Nov will be the last event that will be staged where alcohol may be served!
Anyone In the know that can confirm or deny this?

A good decision when the hotel occupancy is at a low and will impact the income for QDC!!

They should be increasing the consumption of alcohol. At some of the meetings I attend it should be large brandies all round rather than arabic coffee...

I just had a meeting with a hotel for an event after the Poppy Ball, and they didn't seem to think there was any problem with serving alcohol.

From the looks of it Qatar might have made more money selling booze than oil over the years.

Good Fortune always comes knocking at your door...when you are sh*tting in the toilet!! :)
