snow is uncommon although there was snow in Kuwait a couple of years ago... or maybe last year, I don't remember

I remember such heavy hail in Qatar maybe around ten years back that it even wrecked some cars... huge blocks of ice... plenty of them the size of golf balls and some much much bigger...
