An Ethiopian housemaid stabbed her employer’s 13-year-old son five times after an argument with him in Saudi Arabia.
A day later, she committed suicide in the detention centre toilet.
Initial investigations showed that the main cause of the argument between the housemaid and the boy was that she told him that she wanted to go back to her home country or get a mobile phone.
They argued and the housemaid got angry and ended the argument by stabbing the boy five times. The boy's parents rushed to rescue him after hearing him scream.
The boy was taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition.
The housemaid was taken by police to the detention centre. However, yesterday, the African housemaid committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of the detention centre's toilet.
This story went viral on social media.
Many urged Saudi authorities to ban African housemaids following several cases of crimes against employers’ children.
Ebtisam, a Saudi woman, said: “At least one crime every month. Till when we have to take it. It is time to ban African housemaids from working in Saudi Arabia.”
Noor, another Saudi woman said: “The services of this nationality is affordable - but parents should first think about the safety of their children."
Dana, another Saudi woman shared similar views and said that the government must take strict action to set an example for all.
On the other hand, Yasmeen, also a Saudi woman said that the main reason behind these housemaids committing all these crimes is the difference in the culture and way of thinking between them.
"These women lose their temper fast. For housemaids, they must be patient and know how to solve their problems, not by killing or committing suicide.”

Interesting story.. i have my own thoughts on this .. But what say YOU ?
