To All Kabayans,

My wife and daughter (2 yrs.old) will be joining me here in doha by next week. My question is "is the affidavit of support required even if my baby is travelling with her mommy?"

affidavit of support... no need namemera lang mga taga embassy... if you read the presidential decree 1986 of corazon aquino... any of the parent traveling with a child/children will be exempted for affidavit as long there is no annulment or separation filed from the DSWD or Ombudsman... Only grand parents or any relatives from both parties are required to get affidavit of support...

Just present your family visa and passport... the visa that you are handling are already verified by the qatar government (MOI) and as well as qatar embassy at the Philippines (that's why we are sending our visa and passport with medical certificate to be authenticated by the Embassy of Qatar in Phils..)

sometimes the immigration officers from NAIA ask for the affidavit of support, i think it would be better to have it handy in case officers asks this letter from your wife
