AC pleaseeeeeeeeeeee

i can't understand why some people (esp. our drivers)...

could bare not using AC inside the car...imagine on this

hot climate and closed door car...OMG!!!

a million times i am telling these people... but

everyday i am repeating my daily line "...AC please"...

i don't know if they enjoyed the hot climate, or they

don't understand me or maybe they want to piss me off or

maybe they have short memory that i have to repeat each

and every day...or what do u think?????

imagine you prepared yourself almost an hour... put some

perfume and make up...u dress well...and when u get on

the car its like a hell...so hot (enough to melt your

make up)...plus the smell inside the car(sometimes i

can't smell my perfume anymore )...disgusting!!!!

anywayz, just want to share with u people... now i feel so cold... nothing to worry :)

i think i'll be immuned with the smell...my only prob is the AC...i feel suffocated.

If the driver turns on the AC, the air that will circulate inside is polluted. Maybe the driver was just taking care of you by giving you fresh air. Reward him by giving body spray.

Good morning to all....Hi Chini!...

When I’m going out for my marketing during weekends, I use to take Karwa and Limousine (since I don’t have car)...each time, after putting my seat belt on, I smell some kind of stench coming from the “driver” ...then I will ask the driver “more A/C please” ...then you will gasp the stinky smell that comes out from the A/C…… I just told myself that it will only last in a minute...and It’s gone!...really gone! (it immunes my respiratory system...hehehehehe)...so don’t worry!... first, the smell will test that your sense of smell and immunity are okay and second, you will know what to buy for your next purchase of make-up when it melt down(lol)...anyway,the driver is only concern to save someting from petrol...(lol)

in fairness, our drivers r aware of their hygiene & dey dont smell dat bad as dat of some karwa guyz, but dey do use up most of the alloted petrol 4 their personal trips dats Y they're saving wat is left by "Turning d A/C OFF" which is ..on my view is not right...

2 some (not all ☺)karwa taxis - a necessary "Clean Up" inside (& out) ASAP...

just think it this way, it's safer for you to have AC off than be sorry having suffocated by the stinking smell within,

the driver's just concern (lol) but in any case you could breathed then "AC please!"

on the side note, it's quite funny though why some people really find justification on things like these, it seems you should always have to understand them and their reasons while in turn not accepting yours, such an ass attitude don't you think? oh and the best part is "they think" we're just asking them a favor, an ass really, like we should be thankful we breathed their smell and share their sentiments... l0l.

^_^ should be both ways, or no way.

Ahh yes reminds me of the good old days in the orange taxi's where you had no choice but to sit in rolled down window cars coz even when the ac was turned on it was like a heater blowing.

I doubt chinitasai is talking about Karwa taxi's here, as far as i know they all have their ac's on. I do know however about the "private" pick up and drop taxi guys who do this. not to mention some of them along with the heat of the car force you to listen to some really f'ed up songs in their mother tongue! Thats like killing one KAT with two stones :(

15% for the drivers.

And again, I do think the problem lies with management. They should be making sure that their drivers and cars are kept up to a decent standard -- including paying them enough so they can run their a/c and take care of personal hygiene. Until the management improves, I won't be using them.

Poor Karwa guys work their asses off...

- Get treated like shit by their bosses

- Get payed a nickle and a dime

- Get tips at a rate of 1 QR p/h

- Get rude treatment by passengers

Sure, everybody here makes a living at his own level. Basically nobody comes here when there is no benefit and yes conditions at lower ranks are extremely poor. So, lets all NOT look at the drivers...

Instead... at the almighty employers the governing organs that do not, until today, admit to having a labor force that work under dreadful circumstances.

Despite all of that......

I WANT AC!!!!!!

you want decent service. Otherwise we should just have the old, cheap orange and white taxis :-)

Karwa should consider all the money they are losing to Fox and clean up their drivers and cars, paying them appropriately so they can operate a professional service. If they lose enough business over these complaints they probably will.

True story...

I always go nuts in hot/stinky limo's.... and yes, ac needs to be asked every time.

I noticed this might have to do with

- Drivers may get sick from being in AC all day, and thus prefer to have none.

- Drivers come from hot countries and are used to heat

- The dry-stink is from sleeping in the car. Unwashed bodies, unwashed feet, unwashed clothing.

Either way, we have to be a bit flexible with these buggers as they have difficult lives and most probably they come from villages where they still shit in the ground so do not have the same hygiene standards as us.

All in all we can put it into perspective and if somebody is really frustrated by it, this person should consider taking a more expensive limo.

Those drivers are underpaid. They cannot afford to buy perfumes, deodorants, etc.

By closing the windows, switching off the AC, wearing non-cotton clothes. You can imagine the aroma. Specialy knowing it is alcohol free. Free and Halal perfume :D
