AC pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
i can't understand why some people (esp. our drivers)...
could bare not using AC inside the car...imagine on this
hot climate and closed door car...OMG!!!
a million times i am telling these people... but
everyday i am repeating my daily line "...AC please"...
i don't know if they enjoyed the hot climate, or they
don't understand me or maybe they want to piss me off or
maybe they have short memory that i have to repeat each
and every day...or what do u think?????
imagine you prepared yourself almost an hour... put some
perfume and make up...u dress well...and when u get on
the car its like a hell...so hot (enough to melt your
make up)...plus the smell inside the car(sometimes i
can't smell my perfume anymore )...disgusting!!!!
anywayz, just want to share with u people... now i feel so cold... nothing to worry :)
lol
I would say that's a mighty resemblance!
LOL :) edifis
How did u do that?!?!
Hey we should be look-a like....

...if it's too strong, sometimes the smell stays... and i i'd say that when torture becomes inevitable?
just sit back and enjoy it!!! what to do yani! :-)
i've already tried giving them body spray and deos... but seems all these sprays and deodorants were useless and ineffective for them...they need to take a bath and wash their clothes...coz i've noticed they are using same dress everyday...
i think i'll be immuned with the smell...my only prob is the AC...i feel suffocated.
MyHotComments +
If the driver turns on the AC, the air that will circulate inside is polluted. Maybe the driver was just taking care of you by giving you fresh air. Reward him by giving body spray.
Good morning to all....Hi Chini!...
When I’m going out for my marketing during weekends, I use to take Karwa and Limousine (since I don’t have car)...each time, after putting my seat belt on, I smell some kind of stench coming from the “driver” ...then I will ask the driver “more A/C please” ...then you will gasp the stinky smell that comes out from the A/C…… I just told myself that it will only last in a minute...and It’s gone!...really gone! (it immunes my respiratory system...hehehehehe)...so don’t worry!... first, the smell will test that your sense of smell and immunity are okay and second, you will know what to buy for your next purchase of make-up when it melt down(lol)...anyway,the driver is only concern to save someting from petrol...(lol)
Hi mj, I was thinking of that also... He just want to piss me...
MyHotComments +
i heard u can call and complain if the karwa drivers smell... not sure what they're going to do about it though...
...A/C pleaseeeeee... just came out from meeting, cut short coz its gettin' hot... hehehehehe ☺
in fairness, our drivers r aware of their hygiene & dey dont smell dat bad as dat of some karwa guyz, but dey do use up most of the alloted petrol 4 their personal trips dats Y they're saving wat is left by "Turning d A/C OFF" which is ..on my view is not right...
2 some (not all ☺)karwa taxis - a necessary "Clean Up" inside (& out) ASAP...
...live & let live....☺
"...Remember, the shadows are just as important as the light..."
You can't teach experience...
when i started at work, the service didnt have AC...
the management was kind enough to get it fixed for me... so far my only complain is the driver's smell... i wonder when they're going to 'fix' it... i should probably file a complaint 'bout that... ;)
morning to all...
just think it this way, it's safer for you to have AC off than be sorry having suffocated by the stinking smell within,
the driver's just concern (lol) but in any case you could breathed then "AC please!"
on the side note, it's quite funny though why some people really find justification on things like these, it seems you should always have to understand them and their reasons while in turn not accepting yours, such an ass attitude don't you think? oh and the best part is "they think" we're just asking them a favor, an ass really, like we should be thankful we breathed their smell and share their sentiments... l0l.
^_^ should be both ways, or no way.
no AC??? tell me about it sai, i think he's doing that on purpose just to piss you off lol.... :P
i think the driver is one of your fan :D he thinks your beauty is good without AC.
Ahh yes reminds me of the good old days in the orange taxi's where you had no choice but to sit in rolled down window cars coz even when the ac was turned on it was like a heater blowing.
I doubt chinitasai is talking about Karwa taxi's here, as far as i know they all have their ac's on. I do know however about the "private" pick up and drop taxi guys who do this. not to mention some of them along with the heat of the car force you to listen to some really f'ed up songs in their mother tongue! Thats like killing one KAT with two stones :(

I never seem to get them and can't be bothered.
I refuse to drink the kool-aid! -- PM
But that would be 20%, PM.
In fact, the least they have ever charged me is 25 and I tip 5 -- pretty simple math :-)
Where can you go for 4 riyals?
I refuse to drink the kool-aid! -- PM
0.75 Riyals. PM probably has a lot of coins.
And ... PM...
I see you sitting in a car, with calculator, tipping 15% of 5 Riyal.
:-P
15% for the drivers.
And again, I do think the problem lies with management. They should be making sure that their drivers and cars are kept up to a decent standard -- including paying them enough so they can run their a/c and take care of personal hygiene. Until the management improves, I won't be using them.
I refuse to drink the kool-aid! -- PM
Poor Karwa guys work their asses off...
- Get treated like shit by their bosses
- Get payed a nickle and a dime
- Get tips at a rate of 1 QR p/h
- Get rude treatment by passengers
Sure, everybody here makes a living at his own level. Basically nobody comes here when there is no benefit and yes conditions at lower ranks are extremely poor. So, lets all NOT look at the drivers...
Instead... at the almighty employers the governing organs that do not, until today, admit to having a labor force that work under dreadful circumstances.
Despite all of that......
I WANT AC!!!!!!
you want decent service. Otherwise we should just have the old, cheap orange and white taxis :-)
Karwa should consider all the money they are losing to Fox and clean up their drivers and cars, paying them appropriately so they can operate a professional service. If they lose enough business over these complaints they probably will.
I refuse to drink the kool-aid! -- PM
thier fault as karwa does not pay them properly so they do cost cutting may be......I have heard a lot negative about Karwa...
I think it is a reaction to the global financial crisis: AC 'on' means more fuel consumption, AC 'off' means more miles per gallon.
they don't like to use their a/c and the cars (and drivers) are often smelly.

Not allowed 2 drink bebsi..:( but i lyk ayzklem on top of latte.... (*c,*)
im having only latte now (homemade;)...

That typical for these lots. Got used to hot climate. Won't need AC anymore, never mind the heat except the smell..yuk, wishing god is more kinder to me.
Say euh Chini...
Are we a little hot today? ABC, judging the structure of sentences, might not fully grasp the full context of a post that contains more than 20 words.
So, be a sweet girl and lets go easy on ABC
After all, it appears he did not get further than C.
The fact that I do not sugarcoat in my explanations does not mean that I am disrespectful.
If you would be so kind to NOT read selectively, but take all sentences in a post into consideration you would see my true meaning.
i wished CHOWKING is already in DOHA....
no need to complain about this AC thing....
yeah right (dancing in front of AC) Ms. Chief....

it is also the bad driving, the awful perfume they wear, the talking on the phone whilst driving; all of that and they still look like I shit in their shoes when they don't get a tip. No good service................no tip.

MyHotComments +
the first comment was not for you, regarding expert.
and the second was for chini... why you get upset, this is the facts, and if your company arrange the transport you should not complain, because to get a private driver may be will cost you all your salary, and of course you can not......
so you want see my picture...!!!!im was write about (indirect message)
take care for what you write here small girl...
yeah ARCHER
we need AC here...
its gettin' hot :)

i think ur one of the drivers who doesn't use AC...
oh i respect that...
with regards to the car---or having one, thanks for the suggestion. but why would i waste my money if i know i'm not gonna stay here for long...besides its a package from the company...
and that indirect message your telling - my GOD...i really never think of that...
now, show me your picture (i dare u)... i'll tell you that even one day is not enough for u to fix your face.

ABC - petrol is cheap "here" but not a reason to be lax in consumption.. d rest of what u said - being an expert buying a car -is uncalled for...
A/C please!!!!
...another 1 bites the dust.... as reality bites -too..
"...Remember, the shadows are just as important as the light..."
I can stand the heat, but our drivers farts.....

... 8s true petrol is cheap dats Y dey use it all up.. A/C pls & they'll answer me" sori ate, no petrol.." dats Y i cant stand it & infoed d mgt. abt it, & action took place. No more unofficial use of the car after duty, ... But sadly, sumtyms the heat overwhelms the A/C..
...so better use reverse psychology & for a while use dis mantra "its cold in here it gives me a shiver" while seating inside d car ;P
"...Remember, the shadows are just as important as the light..."
Hang a board on Ur neck ...AC please...
If petrol for people like you is cheap,
why you dont buy a car and swich on your own AC the whole day, that time may be you will think about the cost of the petrol ...because you already think about the cost of perfumes and cosmetic or you want someone else buy it for you ( indirect message)
and from you picture i can not believe that you will spend 1 hour for make up.
I asked one driver before regarding the AC thing, he said "nature air is good" he actually say this!! lol!
I'm thinking, with all this dust everywhere??? ^_^
"..people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.."
you are an expert ,
may be you are one of them or you come from the same village which they come from,....
it is not funny to talk about people bad, anyone has his reason, plz be positive
I thought I was only the one having to remind the driver to turn on the AC. All our drivers seem to prefer not turning on the AC. Not only in the morning, the best part is when going home on Thursday at 2:30pm. Unless you sound the alarm, you won't have AC.
Me: "AC Please!!!".
Driver: "Oh...You want AC... sure you want AC??"
DUHHH!!!

True story...
I always go nuts in hot/stinky limo's.... and yes, ac needs to be asked every time.
I noticed this might have to do with
- Drivers may get sick from being in AC all day, and thus prefer to have none.
- Drivers come from hot countries and are used to heat
- The dry-stink is from sleeping in the car. Unwashed bodies, unwashed feet, unwashed clothing.
Either way, we have to be a bit flexible with these buggers as they have difficult lives and most probably they come from villages where they still shit in the ground so do not have the same hygiene standards as us.
All in all we can put it into perspective and if somebody is really frustrated by it, this person should consider taking a more expensive limo.
Those drivers are underpaid. They cannot afford to buy perfumes, deodorants, etc.
By closing the windows, switching off the AC, wearing non-cotton clothes. You can imagine the aroma. Specialy knowing it is alcohol free. Free and Halal perfume :D

Hayyzzzz... Sai, same sentiments... i asked r driver Y he seldom put d A/C on, d reply were:
-i forgot, sorry.. (duh!wajid har, he got lapses already)
-A/C karban (?!? shuhada!)
& d favorite line dat made me talk 2 d management...
-cost cutting 2 save petrol ('lul, dey always use service van 4 personal use...)
..i can bear d heat in the morn (6AM) but halo!! 8s burning hot in d afternun...SOS 2 nose bleed...

Hi chinitasai. Is it really you in the picture? Youre pretty huh. Anyway, back to your question, I guess your driver maybe east asian (Indian, Sri Lankan or Nepali) coz I also observed my Indian colleagues they dont like to turn on their car aircon much. Maybe they are used to hot climate.
