The Ministry of Labour has banned the transactions of 13 companies for violating the labour law during July 24 - August 6, 2011, a spokesman for the ministry said. The ministry has warned against breaking the procedures of health, occupational safety and rules pertaining to protecting labourers at work sites. The official said that the violating entities shall be entitled to accountability and the application of the penalties stipulated in the labour law, such as cancelling the work permits of the managers and officials in charge, and putting the violating firms on the banned list in co-ordination with other governmental departments. The ministry added that it would give the violating firms a grace period to correct their situations. It has also asked companies to provide the data of all their employees and their allowances on a regular basis of every six months. The ministry warned companies of the consequences of not following the procedures for it would lead to ban in addition to fines. The ministry stated that it would launch an intensive inspection campaign to ensure that firms abide by the procedures of occupational safety at work sites. |

13 firms eh?...in the whole country?...i think they forgot a couple of zeros on that figure because that would be closer to the number of firms in violation of the law... *about six zeros
