Top 5 Metro destinations in Qatar

The Doha Metro was first launched on May 9, 2019, as part of Qatar National Vision 2030 to enhance the public transport system and its usage by providing a convenient and efficient mode of transport to major destinations in Qatar.
Most stations operate underground with three network lines – red, green, and gold which travel through the major hubs in Qatar. With the FIFA World Cup coming up, the Metro will act as an effective and affordable public transport system.
Among the 37 different stations, we have picked our top five Metro destinations – including at least one station from each metro network for you to explore with friends, family, and loved ones.
DECC (Red Line)
The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), located in West Bay, is a modern convention and conference center that hosts several events throughout the year.
The first-ever grand mall in Qatar, City Center Doha, is located next to the DECC station. The Museum of Illusions Doha is also nearby the station. However, the dazzling West Bay skyline is a sight to witness when exiting the DECC station.
