The SC official said in statements during the unveiling of the cup design, that arrangements have been made in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health for the opening ceremony to host 60,000 spectators (full-capacity of Al Bayt Stadium).
Al Naama added that the new cup was specially designed for the tournament, which will see 16 of the best national Arab teams battle it out for the winner’s title.
The Arab Cup is made of pure gold and includes Arabic letters of the word "Mawtani" carved in an artistic way on the bottom of the trophy and ripples that mimic the ways of Arab trade, the SC official pointed out.
The FIFA Arab Cup (Qatar 2021), which is being held in the same time slot as next year’s FIFA World Cup, will be played across six Qatar 2022 stadiums and will serve as an opportunity to test operations before the major tournament in 2022.
