The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ has seen plenty of exciting action on the pitch, with supporters coming out in force to support their favorite teams.

Playing their part in this celebration of football and Arab culture has been the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), which has organized a series of cultural activations across the country in collaboration with a range of stakeholders.

Fans so far have been treated to music and dance performances from local communities in several locations near five FIFA Arab Cup™ stadiums: 974, Al Bayt, Ahmad Bin Ali, Al Janoub and Al Thumama.

This has included activations from all the countries represented in the competition, with fans taking the time to enjoy and participate in performances before and after matches.

“It is a proud moment for us to represent our beloved country during such an important spectacle for Qatar and the entire Arab world,” said Egyptian community leader Abdulnaser Al Mutwalleh.

“We have been involved with performances at a number of stadiums – bringing fans together and enhancing the fan experience. It is also a chance for all fans to learn more about our culture and traditions. I would like to thank the SC for this remarkable opportunity – we can’t wait for the final on 18 December.”

One of the must-see acts has been a local Indian drum band. The group have entertained fans at Al Bayt Stadium and other venues throughout the tournament.

“We have represented our community in many events, but performing at World Cup stadiums during the Arab Cup is up there with our proudest moments,” said India’s community leader, Dr. Mohan Thomas. “We are blessed to be residents in Qatar and have the chance to celebrate the FIFA Arab Cup with fans from across the region. This is certainly the start of something special, as we build up to the World Cup.”

The SC also hosted activations along the Doha Corniche. A series of special events were organized along with waterfront promenade, thanks to a collaboration with Qatar Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Katara. Events were also organized during the Qatar International Food Festival, which was also held on the Corniche.

“Our passionate and committed local communities have added colour and enthusiasm during the tournament, which celebrates football and Arab culture,” said Khaled Al Suwaidi, the SC’s Stakeholder Relations Director. “Seeing people react so positively fills us with anticipation for next year’s FIFA World Cup, when we will welcome fans from all corners of the globe.”

The activations will continue throughout the tournament, which heads into the knockout stages this weekend. Make sure you savor the atmosphere before cheering on your favorite team.

Tickets for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ are still available here. This includes a selection of affordable category 4 tickets costing QAR 25 each (Qatar residents only) for all remaining matches, except the semi-finals and final.
