These videos speak for themselves...
First two are serious, I say this because there might be some confusion between what is serious and what is a joke, the third & fourth is a joke. Enjoy....

Who is to blame for the riots?

"When I have been asked during these last weeks who caused the riots and the killing in L.A., my answer has been direct and simple: Who is to blame for the riots? The rioters are to blame. Who is to blame for the

killings? The killers are to blame."

-- Vice President Dan Quayle

I bow to his logic & reasoning.

Sarah Palin is no match for Dan Quayle Vice president to Bush Sr.

plato:

peninsulares = born in Spain

corrillios (not sure of the spelling) = born in America of Spanish parents

mestizos = born in America from any of the above and locals

plato, the Spanish also mixed with the natives. The result are the mestizos which make up for over 90 % of the Mexicans of today.

Indios in spanish or portuguese?

MD: You are right about conversion but not regarding marriages, in the time of the colonies, Portugal were the only ones who married natives, while others like the spaniards didn't wanted to have relations with "savages".

Plato, I don't think they are sooo similar. In Central America they're mostly "step pyramids", whereas the Egyptian ones had a smooth finish, except for the very old ones. And the "theories" about an exchange of culture between America and Egypt before Columbus are similar to the "conspiracy" theories of Kennedy's assassination and Loch Ness, or Atlantis.

By anonymous• 29 Sep 2008 20:13

I think the "Indios" had not much choice but to mix or mingle their beliefs with the enforced Christian religion. When I was small, like 5 years or so, I also went to church on Sunday because otherwise my father would not give me any pocket money.

Point well taken, QT. I'm just as glad also that McCain didn't add credibility and gravitas to his campaign with a considered choice of VP. But it is painful to watch the adulation for Gov. Palin.

QT: I mean fake because at same time she's a conservative, or pretends to be a conservative.

On Saturday while waiting on line to buy cakes, a student asked her what should be done concerning Paquistan, that protects terrorists (this aren't my words but what the student said to her). Than asked if they (the U.S.) should cross the border to Pakistan. She replied to him that's exactly what they should do, in the debate between Obama and McCain, that was Obama's position while McCain was against it.
