And the "theories" about an exchange of culture between America and Egypt before Columbus are similar to the "conspiracy" theories of Kennedy's assassination and Loch Ness, or Atlantis.

I think the "Indios" had not much choice but to mix or mingle their beliefs with the enforced Christian religion. When I was small, like 5 years or so, I also went to church on Sunday because otherwise my father would not give me any pocket money.
