qatar multiculture test for the world

By modern wonderer

indians, americans, nepali, phillipinos, europeans, arabs etc..etc..what we see today in qatar is a live test of the world to come in term of social mix, if it doesnt work here it wont in the futur ..when you think about it, few places in the world ask you to be so tolerant and open minded on a daily basis , few places shake your dogma as qatar does, few places confront you with hindou culture,muslim,christian...

what do you think?

To have social mix, one has to make the effort themselves also.

Taking the locals out of the equation (for discussion sake), how many of us actually make the effort to mix with other races/nationalities ?

there is no "social mix" here.. total hierarchy, division by race, by the nationality, and the ethnic groups . Everyone hates each other. Even within tthe same nationality or the same religion there is a fierce hatred and total bias towards each other. nothing is not working here... and nothing is bringing people together here, but the irrepressible passion for M-O-N-E-y ..

Currently this illusion has been running in Dubai for quite some time.

Sandeepkadian is right.... Its the money that is creating the illusion. Combine it with the strict security measures and we get this.

Apart of this ambiance, most of the Nationalities can't bear to stand each other.

with my small brain, i guess that all nationalities here will not fight each other and will have to tolerance as all of us are having income. If we fight, have no tolerance, we will losse a job and have to go back home country. :):):) The income is controlling the tolerance here.
