from friends they have told me the meeting house is just past West Bay Petrol Station. It's across from the Al Jazi compound on Al Istiqal Street. Coming from civil defense roundabout towards Qatar Sports club continue straight through QSC round-about. West Bay Petrol will be on your right. Continue to the next slip road and turn right. Meeting house is directly in front of you. Parking in front and in back. If you get to Rainbow round-a-bout you have gone too far. Taglog (filipino) ward begins at 9 on Fridays. English speaking begins at 1 on Fridays.

Hello yaya, I just read your post and would like to know if you ever found out about the church in Qatar. I may be moving there soon with my family and need to find out if there is a branch there or not before we accept the job.

Thanks!

Our family is considering a move to Qatar in the next year or so. We have access to the Air Force base but would love to meet with non-military.

Yes there are several LDS groups in Qatar. One at the AFB (Air Force Base) and 2 in the West Bay Area. The Tagalog speaking (Filipino) congregation meets in the AM Friday and the English speaking congregation meets in the PM Friday. I believe the villa they meet in is near to West Bay Petrol.

Thanks for responding to my query about LDS. As some have noted, LDS stands for "Latter Day Saint", which is short for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more commonly known as the Mormon church).

Also, I used the abbreviation "AFB" for "Air Force Base". I know that there are some US members of the LDS church stationed at one of the air force bases in Qatar.

Thanks again!

LDS = Latter Day Saint

I'm no longer an active member, but my family is. They have meetings every friday. This includes a proper sacrament service etc...

You won't see me there, but I'm happy to get you all the information needed. I don't know what AFB means, but it is my understanding that there is only one regular meetinghouse (and I do mean house :D)

I don't have the info off the top of my head, but I'll get it today.

LDS (if I'm not mistaken) is short for Latter-Day Saints or Mormons. The religion is called as "Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints (please correct me if I'm wrong). I used to be an active member of this church in my late teens until my father found out and beat me up.

AFB??? I have no idea
