Islam: the perfect religion and way of life for all

It is imperative that we strive to know Islam. Allaah’s Messenger , who was sent to the whole mankind, encouraged us to acquire knowledge of Islam in order to comprehend it. Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet , said: “Those who were the best in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance will be the best in Islam provided they comprehend the religious knowledge.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
‘Abdur Rahmaan bin Abi Bakrah narrated on the authority of his father that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “If Allaah wants to do good to a person, he makes him comprehend the religion; and of course knowledge is attained by learning.” [Al-Bukhaari] Mu‘aawiyah bin Abi Sufyaan narrated that Allaah’s Messenger said: “Goodness is a (natural) habit while the evil is a stubbornness. To whomsoever Allaah wills to show goodness, He favors him with the understanding in the Religion.” [Ibn Maajah]
When we study Islam or read the Quran and the authentic Ahadeeth (narrations of the Prophet ) we learn that Islam is easy to follow and the perfect religion and complete way of life for the entire humankind. We read in the Quran and the Ahadeeth the following
unique features of Islam:

Islam is easy

The Quran says (what means):
“But whoever believes and works righteousness he shall have a goodly reward and easy will be his task as We order it by Our command.” [Quran 18:88]

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Religion (Islam) is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the prayers in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights.” [Al-Bukhaari]

Anas bin Maalik narrated that the Prophet said: "Make things easy for the people, and do not make it difficult for them, and make them calm (with glad tidings) and do not repulse (them).” [Al-Bukhaari]

Islam is complete

The Quran says (what means):
“…He it is Who has sent unto you the Book, explained in detail. They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it has been sent down from your Rabb in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.” [Quran 6: 114]
And (what means):
For We had certainly sent unto them a Book based on knowledge, which We explained in detail -- a guide and a mercy to all who believe.” [Quran 7: 52]
And (what means):
“…(This is ) a Book with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning) -- further explained in detail -- from One Who is Wise and Well-Acquainted (with all things).” [Quran 11: 1]

Islam is perfect

The Quran says (what means):
“...This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [Quran 5: 3]
As the perfect religion, Islam teaches humankind how to attain success in the most perfect way. The following are some of the Ahadeeth that serve as a source of enlightenment and guidance to those who desire perfection.
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Goodness and comfort are for him who worships his Rabb in a perfect manner and serves his master sincerely.” [Al-Bukhaari]
Ibn ‘Umar narrated that Allaah’s Messenger , said: "If a slave is honest and faithful to his master and worships his Lord in a perfect manner, he will get a double reward.” [Al-Bukhaari]
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: "Whoever believes in Allaah and His Messenger, offers prayers perfectly and fasts (the month of) Ramadhaan then it is incumbent upon Allaah to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allaah’s cause or stays in the land where he was born.” They (the companions of the Prophet, ) said: "O Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam! Should we not inform the people of that?" He said: "There are one-hundred degrees in Paradise which Allaah has prepared for those who carry on Jihaad in His Cause. The distance between every two degrees is like the distance between the sky and the Earth. So if you ask Allaah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaws, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of The Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise.” [Al-Bukhaari]
‘Abdullaah bin Hishaam narrated: “We were with the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and he was holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattaab . 'Umar said to him: "O Allaah’s Messenger! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self.” The Prophet , said: "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete or perfect faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self.” Then 'Umar said to him: "However, now, by Allaah, you are dearer to me than my own self.” The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Now, O 'Umar, you are a believer.” [Al-Bukhaari]
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet , said: “The most perfect believer in respect of faith is he who is best of them in manners.” [Abu Daawood]
Abu Humamah narrated that the Prophet , said: “If anyone loves for Allaah’s sake, hates for Allaah’s sake, gives for Allaah’s sake and withholds for Allaah’s sake, he will have perfect faith.” [Abu Daawood]
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet , said: “Among the Muslims the most perfect, as regards his faith, is the one whose character is excellent, and the best among you are those who treat their wives well.” [At-Tirmithi and Abu Daawood]
‘Aa’ishah narrated that Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Among the believers who show most perfect faith are those who have the best disposition, and are kindest to their families.” [At-Tirmithi]
All the above Prophetic teachings in addition to the Quranic Ayaat (verses) quoted earlier, clearly tell us that indeed, Islam is the perfect religion and hence the best way of life for all. Islam as a universal religion is Allaah’s Blessing and Mercy for all of us. It is for us to obey it and be successful in the eternal world to come. The best way to attain success through Islam is to learn about the religion according to its authentic sources. That is, to acquire knowledge of Islam through the Quran and the Sunnah and the right deductions from these revealed sources of knowledge and guidance.
Since Allaah Almighty is the One Who gives guidance, earnestly ask Him for authentic Islamic knowledge. We must seek His help and guidance to be able to apply such knowledge and share them with others – all for His Pleasure.
May our Cherisher and Sustainer increase our knowledge of Islam and grant us the best life -- of being true Muslims forever. Aameen.

Exactly, and that's what I'm doing "expressing my opinion", and want to hear others.

I hear you load and clear... however, its just a matter of perspective here... I just feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I didn't read the topic, nor will I...the heading was enough for me to see what it was about.

I have every right to question people why they feel the need to preach to people. I'm interested why they feel this way and we are discussing it.

Anyway, why am I justifying myself to you....lol

Well scorpio, if you are not interested in such forum topics don't read through them. No one is forcing anyone to read through them!!!

Personally, I learned that in order to be on good terms with everyone not to discuss Politics and Religion. these are two very tacky topics.

By Scorpio• 12 Apr 2007 12:59

Why would you want to preach to people who are not interested or already have their own religion? Do you know how insulting and offensive it is to force religion down peoples throat, because its "your beliefs". Did you ever think of that?

WatWat I don't need help. I am at peace within myself. However I think it's clear who is in need of serious therapy…lol

Why don't you make it your duty converting those "bad Muslims" into "good Muslim"? That's a great idea! Go to mega mart and preach to the local woman about treating their nannies/helpers like s@#$ or the locals in their 4x4 who find it funny driving dangerously on the road. Or go to the bars in the hotels and preach to the locals who consume alcohol. I'm sure they really want to hear your garble!

Why don't you make that your duty :D

Alas, many muslims are not fullfuling their duty, if they were friends, at least they should mention it to you as kind of help, then they leave to your personal choice.

Preaching does not mean I am not in peace with myself.

Makes sence, from a different point of view, but then I question all muslims. Who are you to judge on those people. In my christian belief, it is said that we shall not judge, because it's the lords job. Lvoe your next, because there is mercy and grace for everyone, even for those who comitted crimes. But it is neither our job to judge, nor to punish.

By Scorpio• 12 Apr 2007 12:10

I've been around plenty of "good Muslims" in the last 3 years that I have spent in the Middle East and made plenty of friends who have not once started ranting and preaching to me. You know why? Because they are at peace within themselves and don’t feel the need to preach to others. So what does that say about you? A good Muslim understand that everyone is different and religion is a personal choice.

By anonymous• 12 Apr 2007 12:04

I tell you the logic,

Think in this life and what is going around us, some bad guys are killing people and stealing money, and harming other people, and harming animals, and......and...

, yet they are living the best life and having everything they want.

At the other side you might good people, who are good to other people and good to animals, who help, do charity, and......and.....

, yet they might be oppressed, killed, exiled, harmed, jailed,......

Where is justice, it is said in Islam that this life is not for rewarding and punishment, it is for work.

In the after life, Allah will give justice to all people according to their deeds, either to Hell or to Paradise.

If I wasn't convinced that way, then I will try to convince my self since it is what makes since about living in this life and about justice missing.

By e46M3• 12 Apr 2007 12:02
e46M3

What's a good Muslim anyway? And who's a "bad" Muslim? Not for you or me or anyone to judge.

Your first duty is to live a fruitful life and not upset or bug people. Why can't you just leave people alone? They're not illiterate. They can read on their own and there's enough information to be had for those who wish to seek it out.

People know what's out there; it's up to them to take it or leave it.

Worship in your own and let others do what they like. People will never be a mirror image of you no matter how hard you try. All you serve to do is alienate them.

preach to people that do not want to be preached to.

Religion is and will always be of personal choice, many others have stated on these threads that THEY DO NOT want to be preached to or people try to convert them.

Fine preach Islam to those who want to know about it, but keep it in a singluar thread and clearly marked!

Tired of fanatics such as WATWAT/Cutesrk or whatever he wants to call himself these days (even calling himself Canadian which is a blatant lie)

Before stating that Islam is the best religion etc make sure you tell your fellow followers i.e. the perverts in taxi's, the idiots causing death on the roads.

Good Muslim has a first duty to preach Islam and call people to worship only Allah.

Also taechings of Islam call on muslims to be good in their dealings with people whtsever their religions are, so all you mentioned included in this duty too, but the problem comes in practicing, some muslims are not good followers of Islam but its their own mistake.

By WhoMe• 12 Apr 2007 11:48

But there are people wh believe in that. and that's the main point! Both sides 'believers' (i hate this word and the thought of separation) and others need to accept other opinions. What I meant earlier was, that its everyones choice, but I don't want to be the reason why somebody is hindered in adapting religion for him/herself foregoing the descision because the person didn't have the chance to think about and decide properly, because i scared him!

anyone will cry in the afterlife, if indeed there is one, Buddhist beliefs are that of re-incarnation based on Kharma built up during this life ergo there is no afterlife.

Just because it says if you dont believe in my religion (as most do) you wil go to hell that that person will go to hell.

With reference to the above, as all religions do more or less state if you dont believe in this religion access to paradise will not be granted then surely we ALL go to hell!!!!!!

WATWAT you being in finance work this equation out -

Islam non believers - Hell

Christian non believers - Hell

Catholicisim non believers - Hell

Because it says so in a book?

Not poking fun at religion here, but do you read science fiction books, do you believe there will be 80ft tall robots walking the earth battling it out.

Same could be said for films, do you believe in vampires as they have had many books written about them. Same as countless other topics, so much is made up just to sell...in fact religious books are the biggest sellers in the world (holy bible is indeed the biggest selling book of all time).

And for one I certainly dont believe someone walked on water, or fed 5 thousand people on a bit of bread and a few fish.

Our duty is not to roll down our windows and throw trash out of our cars, our duty is to respect order and not barge in queues/lines, our duty is not to overtake people on the right when driving as if we're better than them to shave a few seconds off our trip, our duty is to eradicate the rampant illiteracy in the Arab and Islamic world (did you know that the literacy rate for girls in Hushe village in northern Pakistan is just 4%!), our duty is to leave others at peace just as we demand to be left at peace. There are so many things that are our duty that we don't do.

Stop preaching and judging people by their convictions and beliefs, dress, lifestyle, etc.. Nobody tries to convince you to have any beliefs other than yours; have the courtesy to do the same to others.

I agree with you watwat adn have to say, that a lot of people do believe in haeven, in whatever form, but when it comes to hell...most people see it as a fairy tale to make children eat their meals. Although I am from your competitor, watwat, I understand your point of duty to preach. As being raised and confess to be a christian, I am aware of the responsibility I have for others, thus supporting Scorpio, to not preach at all costs if people don't want to hear it. It is my responsibility to show people the way and about preaching there is always the danger to scar people off. If this is so, it is the preachers fault why people won't be saved by the lord. This is a huge responsibility for all preachers, you can't deny and you should always consider when talking about your religion to others!

Our duty is to preach teachings of Islam and to other people to try to save them from hell fire, after that it is their choice, no coersion to follow Islam.

Also Allah the most powerfull will not benefit from us being Muslims nor will lose from us being Non-Muslims, we are the ones who will benefit or lose.

This country is full of people from all different backgrounds and religions and it's just plain offensive saying that Islam is the "perfect religion for all". I'm an atheist and could rant and rave about that on here, but it's called discretion and not trying to convert people.
