Two countries should resolve the issue without the interference of other so called!!?? super powers...

Few History

In 1947,The last viceroy to India,Mount.... pushing for a partition rather than coexisting Muslim and Hindu states

In 1949, the U.N. Security Council enlarged its mission to the Kashmir region and passed resolution creating a cease-fire line. Shortly Pakistan and India signed the Karachi Agreement that recognized the cease-fire line monitored by U.N. observers.

In 1959, Pakistan signed an agreement with the United States saying Washington will come to Pakistan's aid in a time of war. Islamabad had agreed to host U.S. military bases; its location was strategic in America's Cold War with the Soviet Union. That relationship was renewed in 1959.

India, meanwhile, practiced a policy of nonalignment, refusing to ally itself with any bloc, especially those involving the United States or Soviet Union.

Yes Kanmano,

If we india and pakistan become friends means then we are the super Power as Dry wood said.( Dry wood most of indian man like all pakistanies ,because they are our brothers,,,,, and relatives too). But due to cheap politics we spilited. One day or another day we will be friends and will be a great force in world. But we will not allow middle east company to start their business.( Because we dont want another spilit).

let us dream for the golden days.

hilarious...fitting though, even if it wasn't true, sub-continentals were always gifted with a profound sense of logic...

I believe Kashmir is the source of all woes for both. If India and Pakistan both gave up their claims to and decreed that Kashmir could become an independent country, with some clear cut legislation to respect the rights of both hindus and muslims and afford them equal representation, withholding of course the right to later join either Pakistan or India (don't really see why they'd want to, no offense but they'd be better off on their own frankly), things could eventually greatly improve. Of course this is impossible and wishful thinking but one can dream eh?

And The Rain said it best. A whole section of societal elite would be placed where it ought to be and deserves, somewhere near the bottom fo the pile. Don't worry, they won't let it happen ;)

I must tell u that the feelings are the same on both sides.

Once a Indian fauji (soldier) was given court martial. His friends at his village asked him the reason. He replied, it was due to going on leave. Surprised, his friend again asked, how come army court martial for this simple reason.

Then the fauji clarified. "I was newly married. I asked my officer to give me leave." The officer told, "Jawan do some act of bravery. Then come to me for leave."

So, Fauji went and brought a enemy tank. Immediately he was granted vacation.

There after when ever he wanted leave, he would bring a enemy tank and go home.

Then, His officer asked him, "Tell me, how can you do this without firing a shot and bring enemy tank."

The Fauji replied "Its very easy Sir. I go the border and asks to fellow soldiers on the other side of the fence if any one is newly married and wish to go on leave. And there are always some Fauji brother in Pakistan like me, who cannot go home due to strict officers like you. And all we do is give our tank to them and bring their tank in."
