How many prayers
By baldrick2dogs •
Just a quickie - I was under the impression that there are 5 prayer times each day, however when I look at Arab News website: http://arabnews.com/?page=5§ion=28&d=22&m=8&y=2008&mode=PrayerTimes....
it shows 6. Which is correct?
Salatul hajjah, salatul tasbeeh, 15th Shabaan midnight prayers (Only for dead)
Ishraq... there is a midnight (Tahajud) and few other optional prayers too... but the obligatory are 5 only through out the day...
Never Ask for a SMILE..just GIVE it..
My pleasure

Sunrise is not a prayer but u should be curious why they have sunrise in the prayer timetable.
1.Its forbiddden to pray Fajr after Sunrise.
2.Yes, its not a prayer but at Sunrise (Shurooq) there is an optional Prayer Called Duha Prayer.
If a Muslim performs the Fajr Prayer and then keeps offering dhikr or reciting the Qur'an until sunrise and then offer two rak`ahs of Duha, Allah Almighty will bestow on him great rewards.
To Know more about Duha Prayer, download a file from this link.

I would like to suggest u that u ask Islamic related Questions to Islamic Websites as they have educated scholars to answer ur Queries.
