Emir in landmark visit to Gaza

I think he caught many by surprise...

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani arrived in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

He promised to invest nearly $400-million in projects to rebuild the impoverished and overcrowded Gaza Strip.

Good news for many, but is there a wider significance ?

I think it is an extremely noble and generous gesture and reflects concern for the muslim world on part of emir. Highly appreciated.
