Discovery of Gas in Israel- Game Changer ?

An old adage says that when God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window. To most people, the events off the coast of Gaza marked a sharp decline in Israel’s strategic posture. The Mavi Marmara incident sparked international condemnation and delivered what may have been a death blow to Jerusalem’s already precarious relations with Turkey.

A door has been closed. But amid the roar, the creak of an opening window was faintly audible. This window, a gigantic deposit of natural gas called Leviathan, 6.5 times the size of Tel Aviv, was found, roughly 100 nautical miles from where the flotilla fiasco took place and well within Israel’s extended territorial waters.
This discovery may provide Israel with security in terms of its supply of electricity, turn it into an important natural gas exporter and provide a shot in the arm of some $300 billion over the life of the field – one-and-a-half times the national GDP – to the Israeli economy, already one of the most resilient in the world.

Especially since you are 'living on one of the largest gas reserves in the world'

You don't see the same thing here?

pay USA back for supporting them. Sort out the humanitarian issues, then use the gas revenue wisely.

diminished Israel?

I haven't heard anything of this outside the Middle East at all.

Objectively speaking, I don't think that the non-Middle Eastern world thinks that way.

one step more closure for the distruction, b coz more money more proudy & ALLAH does not like proudy human being. if israel does nt behave humanly with other human being. Then very bad for there future generation.

ALLAH is giving them chance. If they dont change there attitude then they see the ALLAH destruction. It has happen before & it will happen again. Treat Palestian as human being if you hate them you will get the same sooner or later the same.

It is supernatural for such a tiny country to be so powerful despite overwhelming hatred and enemies all around.

Can someone explain this mystery ? (hate mongers please excuse, neutral experts on the subject welcome. )

As one who believes in the decree of God all I can say is He gives to whom He wills and withholds accordingly.

thieves and murderers can get away with anything they do in this world of theirs.

israel is illegitimate and therefore the gas reserves, if it is true (remember jews are the best in making up stories to change public mood), belongs to the palestinians or within whoever's waters it is located in.

gas reserves can not make a criminal country turn into an innocent one... material gain can not wash away the crimes against humanity.

If it is off the coast of Gaza, it is out of bounds for Palestine!

But at the same time

Egypt could stake its claim.
