We all saw the humongous mirror building standing in the Saudi desert in the historic picture of all the six GCC leaders from the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Co-operation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).

The architectural wonder is Al Maraya Hall located in the northwestern Saudi province of Al Ula.

The Arabic word Maraya translates to mirror or reflection and the hall is the Guinness world record holder for the largest mirrored building in the world, measuring 9,740 Square Meters.

The hall was designed to reflect and highlight the picturesque natural beauty of the desert around Al Ula. The majestic architectural gem is a 500-seat capacity hall designed as a cuboid covered with mirrors externally and serves as a venue for events, concerts, and business gatherings.

The landmark summit now named, The Summit of Sultan Qaboos (late Sultan of Oman) and Sheikh Sabah (late Amir of Kuwait) was chaired by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and the six GCC leaders signed the final communiqué, termed as "Al-Ula Declaration".

The highlight of the historical summit was that full diplomatic ties were restored between Qatar and four blockading nations (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain).
